To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Rose A. I have been living at Laurel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center for ten years. I do not move because I am happy here. I love my Guardian Angel, she has been so good to me. The food is good and my doctor is wonderful. We have a wonderful Activity Director. The director has a program for each and everyone of us. Our laundry is clean. Everything is clean.

Thank You

Rose A.

I would like to give a testimony about Laurel Point Health & Rehabilitation Center

First of all, when I first came in here they were waiting for me at the “B” wing nursing station, and they seemed so happy to see me and I was so happy to be here. When I came in I was not able to move my toes, but everyone took their share of the responsibility. I remember Kizzy was the first CAN in “B” wing, she was a happy person and everyone seemed happy.

I am so glad I came here, it has been to joy of my life. There are so many CNA’s that really take a person to heart, and one of these is Andre Jean-Louis. He will come to your room, just to check up on us and even though I may not be Sonia Pierre’s patient, she also checks in on me and many others. Everyone always speaks to me, they always encourage me and lift me up. I thank Therapy for helping me to be able to walk some.

We have good meals, a shelter over our head, Miss Sandy and Miss Gail have been very good to me, as has Miss Debby, Janis, Michelle, Marie, and I can’t name them all, but Tracey the CNA has been very good and a slew of other CNAs. The laundry, Shirley & Marie, is wonderful and the housekeeping department, Rosemary & Linda, is just great and the maintenance people, Jeff Louis, Ron & Louis , are so friendly.

The activities department has very good activities for us to do. Tonya Shortts is the director and Beverly is the co-worker, they work hard and it pays off. Joi is our bus driver, she is a joy to be around. We have outings to go out and eat and go to the movies, we also go to other facilities to play bingo.

Oh, yes I want to mention, Jeff & Luz, John , Renee, Carol & Lynn and everybody in therapy treats me with respect.

We have a very good dietary department. The facility you know, lets you go home on days that you want to. I also want to put Judy the Unit manager and Karen and others, I did not name.

The social worker is terrific which is Brenda, and Carles in the Business office and all of the rest of the facility has so much going on for us. Everyone is friendly, I want to add Tracy in Dietary department, I am sure I left out a lot of names, but I still love everyone and I wouldn’t trade it for any other facility. May God bless each on. We have people coming for entertainment and church. This facility is #1 in my book.

We have a red hat society, and we have a resident council meeting. We have visitors coming in and out to visit their loved ones.

The residents are well taken care of and every resident in this place is recognized. We have a beautiful dining room and restorative programs. We have precious moments for those who are not able to do the regular activities. We have a courtyard, where we can go out and sit & enjoy the sunshine. We have doctors to visit us, and I am very happy here. We have people here who have jazzy motorized chairs, it’s a blessing. We have Am-vets who come once a month to play bingo and give us clothes.

To me, this is the right place. We also have a snack place for the CAN’s and the help to be able to go and rest, we also have a shelter in the back that people go smoke at.

Love

Billie H.

I first “met” this building in the early 80’s – as a CNA working on the wing I currently reside on now. There are others here that were also here at that time. I never thought I would need a place like this but you know what we all say, “But for God’s Grace go I”. Well if it were not for God’s grace I would NOT be here, life has a surprise for us all.

Well many years has gone by and due to different happenings and surgeries – Here I am. Laurel Pointe has undergone numerous improvements since the new ownership acquired this building – Bright rooms, patient safety first, the best therapy department, a large staff, and everyone is resident oriented. We have many great activities – Bingo, puzzles, movies, parties, and yes, even a red hat tea party once a month, of which I am the queen. We have a great time and fun. We also have a resident council which represents all the residents with any issues they may have(I happen to be vice-president).

Laurel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center has an open door policy, from our administrator down through to the staff. There isn’t enough space to give honor to all departments, just know “THEY ARE ALL GOOD” and work together. Nurses who work extra-shifts, dietary fixes special meals, housekeeping keeps us clean, maintenance helps with anything you may need. Great office staff to take care of our business transactions, our hair dresser. My head is bursting with all we have here at Laurel Pointe.

Seriously, we are thankful we have Laurel Pointe, as this is our home. There are changes that happened to make this the best Rehab & Health center. It has become bigger & better without losing site of the resident’s happiness. As we are Laurel Pointe.

To Whom It May Concern:

I’d like to inform the reader of this document of my stay at Laurel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center. My stay here was very pleasant. The people were caring and helped me so much that on my second surgery, I requested to return here for my care.

I am now walking without any apparatus and I also am gratified when my husband was admitted with a hip replacement. I am now taking him home for further care, but I must personally thank Jeff and the Physical Therapy Team and Millie and all the nurses & aides who cared for us. Thank You form the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,

Ella
