Dear Ms. Snyder
Our mother has been at your facility for approximately four months. She had lived alone for almost twenty years, independent and drove her car until she was eighty-five years old. She became a resident at Chestnut Hill Lodge because she would not accept help at home and it became very dangerous for her as well as other residents in her apartment building. To say she is having trouble accepting being at Chestnut Hill is an understatement.
For the family it has been very difficult. We just wanted to let you know how grateful we are for the assistance of your staff. The staff has shown us complete professionalism from Kim Barnes who was extremely helpful with the financial situation, to Taniks in Social Services. Karla, the nurse on E –wing has always treated us with the upmost respect, kindness, and consideration in a very delicate situation. We are extremely pleased with her accessibility and communication with the family regarding her condition and needs regarding her health and the situation within her room.
We have met with Miriam Buchanan, Director of Social Service, who was very reassuring to us in regards to her continued care and treatment at your facility. Many of the issues we wanted to discuss were already in motion – thanks to Karla. We really appreciate your staff and wanted to officially thank them.
Our goal is to keep the lines of communication open and to make sure she is safe, clean, comfortable and eventually accepting of care from the staff.
Sincerely,
Bob and Ginny P.
