Dear CEO,

Please forgive me for not being very professional with a typed letter, but I find a written letter more personal and appropriate in this case.

Last August, I spent two and a half weeks visiting my mom at Auburndale Oaks Healthcare facility. I spent on average between five and seven hours with my Mom, daily.

During this time it was impressive to watch and observe the kindness and joy bestowed upon my Mom. ALL staff included… Nursing, Therapy, Food Service, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and the Receptionist.

During my stay it was determined that my Mom would have to make a decision as to stay in Florida or to come home with me. I had no idea this meeting was going to transpire when I visited, but God works in mysterious ways.

Of course, I was thrilled with my Mom’s decision because I had asked her in the Spring, but to no avail, and now…

During that very quick decision on late Friday afternoon we had no idea how we would get everything in order to leave by Monday about 9:00 AM. Needless to say everything worked out fine.

I have to credit Tammy Sprowes, R.N., Case Manager, for making this transition for my mom a much easier one. Not having transportation to get around. Tammy immediately offered her help. Tammy arrived very early Monday morning to give me a crash course in Nursing treatments and administering insulin,. Tammy also made sure she received all the needed prescriptions from the doctor and all the medical records she could possible send. She even took me to the drug store!

My Mom had Cholangiocarcinoma and was given only a short time to live. She passed away peacefully at home with me on November 13th. No words can express the kindness and Christian love I experienced there, also, no words can express my gratitude.

Thank you for your time.

God Bless You All.

To: Chief Operating Officer

Sir,

Please allow me a few minutes of your valuable time.  I wish to convey to you the outstanding performance of your staff at the Auburndale Oaks facility where my sister, Harriet A., is now a long term resident.

I am 65 years young and a former manager in varied capacities; and a veteran that was drafted to wing headquarters in a B-52H bomber wing.  I learned strict protocol, because we handled nuclear weapons.  Your facility and the humanitarian element is equal, if not more important for the elder care of our loved ones.

Ann Jarvis is my angel!  Because of her extreme efforts in good faith to secure residency for my sister Harriet.  Ann is the most natural professional lady that I have ever met and her ability to "go the extra mile" is a key asset to her employer.

Flo, her staff assistant, too, was cheerful and extremely courteous.  Heidi Smith, your new Administrator, is very much an extraordinary professional and a joy to work with on my sister's behalf.

Dr. Carlucci, is one of the most focused and caring doctors that I have ever known and his immediate action that revealed a dangerous blood clot in my sister's leg - that was a life saving find, that for two months had not been properly diagnosed in another nursing home where Harriet was recuperating in a short term capacity.  Harriet's 100 day Medicare provision had expired and her condition had not improved, nor were recommendations given to my nephew (her son).

Alas, all I can do is report to you, the most important member of this company.  Sir, it is my firm belief that Ann Jarvis, complicit with the entire administrative staff,  did prevent my sister from a severe stroke and/or sudden death from heart failure.  Albert, her son, and I are believers in prayer and miracles and can recognize that often, routine occurrences can be explained away, but not in our eyes.

Please allow us the honor to thank you and your Auburndale Oaks facility with this heartfelt accolade of praise and may God continue to bless you and your company!

Respectfully yours,

Bill S.

To the Administrator at Auburndale Oaks Healthcare Center:

My mother has been a resident at your facility since November, 2007.  She is scheduled for release on 3.1.08.  The medical care, physical therapy, nurses, CNA's and all other areas of rehabilitation are excellent.  The caring attitude and attention from everyone on staff was wonderful.  I cannot say enough good things about Auburndale Oaks .  Please thank everyone, especially Rene, Mio, Kellene, Lisa, Pam and Debby - who were outstanding!

Sincerely,

Hilda T.  (Daughter of Resident)

To the Staff at Auburndale Oaks Healthcare Center,

On behalf of our family, we would like to say thank you for all the love and care we saw you give our mother in her time of need. I visited our mother there and I found all of you to be so very helpful and courteous to me and my mother. She was very blessed to have lived with someone like you for her final days. We are equally blessed to have you all there.

To the Staff at Auburndale Oaks Healthcare Center,

Thank you so much for the beautiful Memorial Service that you all held for my mom. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff for the kindness they extended to my mom during her many years at "The Oaks". She was very happy in her "private apartment" and she was always well cared for. I will always be grateful for everyone there.

Betty S. and all of the Elizabeth F.  Family

Heidi,

Thanks so much for having a part in Dee’s life.  She never failed to tell me about yours and her daily visit.  I will never forget our conversation concerning her dental work. You made her feel special each day. I hope things are going well with your studies.

Take Care. Thanks again.

Love in Christ,
Jo Venable

To all Staff,

Your “Care” has been “Excellent” in all possible ways.  C.N.A’s do whatever is needed and never fail to say, "Your Welcome"(and seem to mean it).  Therapists know their field and patiently put you through what you need to do, as well as, correcting errors patients make out of ignorance, haste, inattention, etc.  Alma has given me recovery I feared impossible!!  Many thanks to many individuals including Rita Miller, C.N.A Deisis, nurses Renee, Michele, Jean, etc.  Everybody including the office and support staff greet me by name and with a smile. I wish my memory was better to list them all by name.  A clean facility (it even smells good) in patient areas and patient rooms are an every day delight.
I have felt supported and encouraged during my stay here and I will miss that and all the friendly people. Even the patients are cheerful—a credit to the facility attitude. I have personally experienced patient time in another facility in this area and the difference is 100%!! I feel so lucky to have been directed here. (Dr. Viegas at Winter Haven Hospital suggested we consider Auburndale Oaks Healthcare Center.)
So to all of you—Thank you sincerely!!

Ms. Green
