Atlantic Healthcare Center's experienced and professional Food Service Staff is committed to providing a memorable dining experience which enhances our patients’ quality of life and nutrition during their recovery. We encourage our patients to join the Food Committee and provide feedback on our menus and address menu likes and dislikes. These patient-led committees also assist in developing the menus for theme parties and holiday meals. We formally change our master menus twice a year for the Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer cycles to provide food and ingredient variety. Our Food Service Department is led by a Director, a Certified Dietary Manager, and their assistants. In addition, our building has a Registered Dietician who consults with our Food Service staff and conducts patient assessments, obtains patient food preferences and formulates patient care plans and menus. Finally, our rehabilitation staff, in particular speech therapy, works closely with the Food Service staff to ensure we meet the special needs of those patients with swallowing difficulties.
